Official Operating Charter for Get Them Out (GTO) — getthemout.ca
Effective Date: July 26, 2026

Welcome to getthemout.ca (the ‘Website’). This platform is owned and operated by the Get Them Out (GTO)
Community Safety Initiative in Hope, British Columbia. By accessing, browsing, registering for membership,
subscribing to newsletters, or utilizing any resources on this Website, you acknowledge that you have read,
understood, and agree to be bound unconditionally by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with
any part of these terms, you must immediately cease all use of this Website.

Purpose of the Platform

This Website functions strictly as a full-width informational dashboard, digital block watch portal, and
sponsorship platform. Its purpose is to facilitate community-driven crime prevention, support vulnerable citizens
in high-crime zones with security camera and lock deployment, and advocate for municipal and corporate grant
support. It is not an enforcement body, a private security firm, or a legal authority.

Strict User Conduct & Zero-Vigilantism Policy

GTO is built on the proven framework of community block watch intelligence. Users and members are bound by
a strict code of safe conduct. By using this site, you agree to the following operational parameters:

  • Observe and Report Only: Users must act strictly as a visual safeguard. Under no circumstances shall any
user confront, trail, intercept, or attempt to apprehend any suspect or individual listed in any police or Crime
    Stoppers bulletin.
  • No Vigilantism: Any form of citizen-enforcement, physical intervention, or organized street confrontation is
strictly prohibited. Violation of this rule results in an immediate, permanent ban from GTO and immediate
    referral to local law enforcement.
  • No Defamation or Harassment: Users shall not use this platform to post unverified personal data, launch
personal vendettas, or harass individuals. All crime tracking metrics displayed must derive from official
    police sources.

Third-Party Crime Tracking & Media Links

This Website aggregates and links out to external sources including the Statistics Canada Crime Severity
Index, the Hope RCMP Newsroom, and regional Crime Stoppers bulletins. GTO provides these links as a public
resource for chronological reference. GTO does not control, author, or alter official law enforcement releases,
and users agree to cross-reference updates directly with official databases at their own discretion.

Security Hardware Applications & Subsidies

Application for subsidized security cameras or heavy-duty locks through getthemout.ca does not guarantee
approval or hardware distribution. Hardware allocation is completely dependent on corporate sponsorship tiers,
government grant funding, and objective zone-risk evaluations conducted by GTO administrators. All installed
hardware remains the personal responsibility of the property owner regarding maintenance and ongoing
operation.

Full Limitation of Liability & Legal Indemnity

In no event shall Get Them Out (GTO), its President, administrators, volunteers, or corporate partners be held
legally liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the
Website or participation in the community network. This includes, but is not limited to, physical injury, property
damage, property breaches despite installed hardware, or legal repercussions arising from a user violating the
zero-vigilantism policy. Users explicitly indemnify GTO against all third-party legal claims.

Intellectual Property & Brand Usage

All layout designs, custom graphics, text summaries, data tables, and proprietary assets on getthemout.ca are
protected under Canadian copyright laws. Unauthorized reproduction, scraping, or distribution of this site’s
informational assets without written consent from GTO administration is strictly prohibited.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of
British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any legal disputes arising out of the use of
this platform shall be resolved exclusively within the judicial court systems of British Columbia.
